The Body Does Keep Score! – Intro to NET

One of the biggest gifts of my work is the opportunity to listen to your unique life stories – stories of your body, your struggles, and your health/life history. Through this experience, I am reminded how we are all more alike than different. We all live in a body. We all experience suffering. And we all want to be happy and feel good.

However, there are times when your story is repeated so often that you lose sight of who you are or can be without these struggles and/or health diagnoses. Holding on to past experiences can create a level of stagnation in the mind and body that is experienced as some kind of pain.

For many years, I have witnessed how this holding pattern blocks our capacity to fully integrate our experiences and move into a healthier version of ourselves. These experiences as a healthcare provider inspired me in 2019 to get certified in the mind/body technique called NET (Neuro-Emotional Technique). NET is used to treat mental or physical pain caused by unresolved trauma that lives in the body.

Similar to acupuncture, NET is a healing modality that is experiential. This technique involves some dialogue, feeling your pulse, and checking your body’s response through muscle testing. NET works specifically with the physiology of emotional/stress in the body. Once you receive a session, it is much easier to grasp its effect on your overall health. Like acupuncture, NET helps move stuck Qi or energy out of the body, which, over time, has created a repetitive pattern of pain.

“NET has been incredibly helpful for both my mental and physical health. Every single session has made an impact. The experience varies based on what I need: sometimes they feel like a dramatic awakening, and sometimes like a seed that takes root and slowly grows. By connecting to the origin of an issue I’m able to truly heal, rather than simply dealing with the current version that will continue to manifest.”

If you feel called to experience this modality during your next acupuncture session or on its own, you can book a session online.
